This is my very first self portrait that I ever done.(or that has ever been done for that matter, maybe I'll have someone do one for me in the future)...Anyway it's not too detailed and a lot more could be done with it, but this is it for now. I did this drawing because while I stayed over my Aunt's house, she asked me if I could do and I said sure...even though I didn't really want to(at first).....It took me an hour to do. I basically went and got the office chair for the computer and sat down in front of the mirror in the bathroom and went to work...(this was a first in more ways than one)It was the first time was I asked to challenge myself by someone who didn't draw and a first for me drawing in the bathroom. Hopefully I won't be doing that again anytime soon(just clarifying- it was a very clean bathroom, I just prefer to draw in a more open area like in a bedroom on a bed, kitchen/diningroom table, at a desk or livingroom). I was sitting probably about 1-2 feet away from the mirror. It wasn't too hard for me too sit still while doing this. The tricky part came in from the fact that my cousins (my Aunt's daughters), knew what I was doing and wanted to see me in action(mainly the oldest). I on the other hand, just wanted to do this (personal)drawing privately. So she persistantly tried to take a peek progress several times. And messed me up because I moved out position ever time(don't laugh). It's funny how ever other week since I drew this I keep finding my self making lil changes or improvements right up til yesterday when I was originally supposed to have submitted this. I couldn't submit this yesterday because my grandmother got me a computer(haallelujah...finally) and changed the computer setting for the scanner.
We love horses, we love drawing, we love gifts, AND we love Christmas. We're gonna combine all that to make Christmas 2009 on dA a seriously awesome one!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
